All too often companies view training as a necessary but time wasting exercise. Our new video - Run the Marathon- Prevention First, LLC provides some food for thought. After all isn't the success of your employees, your success?
The right curriculum, training methods and delivery, and training validation strategies are the only actions that equip your employees
with the knowledge and skill they need. Without it they cannot help you achieve the quality, safety, production, material usage and sustainability goals you set.
Training is an investment. It should be integrated into everything you do. In other words it should be continuously revisited, adjusted and improved to address the gaps in your processes. Yes, it means more time and effort - at least it would appear so. When you consider the energy, time and expense involved in "putting out fires" on a daily basis, maybe it would actually require less time and effort, and increase your successes along the way.
