The OSHA Outreach Training Program is OSHA’s primary way to train workers in the basics of occupational safety and health. Over the past three years, over 1.6 million students have received training through this program.
Take your OSHA-accepted 10-hour or 30-hour course for construction or general industry and obtain your DOL Completion card. Enroll online, complete the course at your pace and receive your DOL card by mail from Prevention First. Select any of our convenient packages, with or without study guides.

The OSHA 10-hour Outreach Training Programs were developed by the OSHA Training Institute with the intent to assist employers in training and introducing employees to the basic practices of identifying, reducing, eliminating and reporting hazards associated with their work.
This course covers training modules, required by the Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA) that apply toward 30-hour course completion card.
OSHA created the Outreach Training Program for the purpose of expanding the knowledge base of employers and employees across the country relative to their standards and guidelines, thereby enhancing safety and health in the American workplace.
This course contains the content from the 10-hour & 30-hour courses.

1.0 IACET Approved CEU
OSHA recommends Outreach Training Program courses as an orientation to occupational safety and health for workers covered by OSHA 29 CFR 1926. Workers must receive additional training, when required by OSHA standards, on the specific hazards of the job. Upon successful completion of the course, participants will receive an OSHA 10-Hour Construction Outreach DOL course completion card within 4-8 weeks.
The OSHA 10-hour Construction Industry Outreach Training course has been reviewed and accepted by OSHA for online distribution.
Course Description
The 10-hour Construction Industry Outreach Training Program is intended to provide entry-level construction workers general awareness on recognizing and preventing hazards on a construction site. This course is designed for construction workers as an ideal orientation to those who are new to the industry and as a reminder those who have been working in the industry to the hazards associated with their work.
Learning Outcomes
At the conclusion of this course, the student will be able to:
•State the purpose of the OSH Act and list the functions of OSHA
•List the OSHA inspection priorities and describe the inspection process
•The basic requirements for proper aisle and passageway maintenance
•Guidelines for identification and protection of floor opening
•To understand the importance of effective egress fire protection program
Time to Completion
Once you enroll in the OSHA 10 Hour Construction Industry Outreach Training course you will have 6 months to successfully complete the course. If you do not complete the course in 6 months you will not receive a certificate for course completion.
Testing
All module quizzes require a score of 70 to proceed forward in the course. The final exam also requires a minimum score of 70 to receive a certificate of completion. The final exam may be taken three times if necessary.

Pre-Requisite For
The OSHA 30-hour Construction Industry Outreach training course or an equivalent of 30 hours of prior safety and health training plus 5 years of construction industry safety and health experience is a pre-requisite for the OSHA 500 Trainer course.

General industry workers must receive additional training, when required by OSHA standards, on specific hazards of the job. The 10-hour General Industry Outreach Training Program is intended to provide entry-level general industry workers broad awareness on recognizing and preventing hazards on a general industry site. Students will be introduced to OSHA policies, procedures and standards as well as general industry safety and health principles covered in OSHA Act Part 1910. Special emphasis will be placed on areas most hazardous using OSHA standards as a guide.
•Describe the rights and responsibilities of employers and employees under the OSH Act
•To know the safe means of Egress to provide fire protection in emergencies from new or old buildings or structures
•Outline the general requirements for general safety standards
•Establish the guidelines and requirements for special purpose equipment
